UKES-DFID Workshop:
Development and Evaluation: Practical Ways Forward
12 October 2011
BIS Conference Centre, Victoria, London

An extremely successful joint workshop organised by UKES and DFID took place in London on 12 October. 110 delegates attended the workshop, which raised important issues in the world of development and evaluation and covered the theory and reality as experienced in many contexts. Presentations included an update of the accountability framework with particular reference to HM Treasury Guidance for Evaluation (the Magenta Book) and insights from UKES, DFID and the NGO and voluntary sector on how organisations can develop their own staff as evaluation professionals.

Further details regarding the outcomes of the workshop will be available shortly from this website and a full report will be included in a future issue of The Evaluator.
