Evaluation in an uncertain world – complexity, legitimacy and ethics

EES 2020 Save the date ….

Call for submissions for abstracts are open until 21 March 2020

In a post-truth era where applying evidence is not always easy, straightforward or even valued, what role can evaluation play in resolving the major issues of our time?

The European Evaluation Society (EES) will be tackling this question during its 2020 Conference “Evaluation in an uncertain world, complexity, legitimacy, and ethics,” which will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark from 21-25 September 2020.

We invite you to lead an innovative session to showcase your best practices and lessons learned on one of the following themes:

  • Theme 1: The Anthropocene and its complex problems: The role of evaluation
  • Theme 2: Adapting the toolbox: Methodological challenges
  • Theme 3: Propelling and provoking the agenda: The role and responsibility of evaluators
  • Theme 4: Greasing the wheels of evaluation: the role of evaluators, evaluation commissioners and evaluator funders (donors) in ensuring that knowledge changes practice

Full information on the types of session formats, along with details on how to prepare your abstracts can be found on the Conference Website.

Please review the Instructions for Submissions before Submitting Your Abstract.
