Learning from Piloting

At the Evaluators’ WeBiBar

Evaluators’ WeBiBar

Thursday April 15th 2021

12:30 – 13:30 GMT

‘Learning from Piloting’

Piloting innovation, to test and adapt, before adopting policy or practice on a more permanent basis or scaling up, is encouraged and commonly undertaken by many in the design and evaluation field

How do we pilot?  How do we evaluate a pilot?  What and who learns from a pilot?  Is piloting really value for money?

Come share your experience and learning from piloting.  Pick up tips from other Members.

At the Main Bar  you will find ‘First Pitchers’ …

Dr Bev Bishop
Evaluation Lead – NHS Covid-19 app

Alison McKinley
Freelance in Evaluation and Innovation

Professor Daniel Wight
Programme Leader MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences, University of Glasgow

Bar Host : Bridget Dillon, Vice-President, UK Evaluation Society

The WeBiBar is the place to meet fellow Members and exchange experience/’tips’ in an informal setting
We provide the space …. you bring your drinks ….  your experiences and humour

The conversation starts at the Main Bar with the ‘First Pitchers’ (approx 10 mins) and continues thereafter in smaller groups
You can move around the Bar, contribute to different conversations
What you have learned maybe a ‘tip’ for someone else!

Bar opens 12:20 for those who want to find their way around
Last orders 13:30

Bar remains open for those who wish to linger longer

The Evaluators’ WeBiBar is held under Chatham House Rules, consequently it is not recorded
