Autumn 2021 Masterclass Series

Join our Autumn 2021 Masterclass series!

Already part way into September, we are fast approaching our Autumn series of Masterclasses.  These are being delivered by CECAN Ltd  (Centre for the Evaluation of Complexity in the Nexus) for those working in evaluation settings, including NGOs, Government, Academia, and Consultancy. We have heard you, and picked methods which many people ask us about, as they come across them often in their work.

The Masterclasses are each live online, delivered over one or one and a half days (0930 – 1700). Our tutors are experienced both in the topic and as trainers. For the high quality provided, we are delighted to offer the series at advantageous prices to participants.

We start with Process Tracing on 13 October (book your place by 5th October!). Many people think they know how to process trace as they instinctively understand what process tracing means.  But can you undertake process tracing in a rigorous way?  Can you defend your evidence? Are you confident in examining the results of process tracing which others have done?  To professionally equip yourself, then this is the course for you.  It will suit those either new to Process Tracing, or those with some experience.

In November we move to Bayesian Updating (10th to 11th) and Qualitative Comparative Analysis (25th). These methods are increasingly utilised.  It is important to establish in which situations/conditions they are most appropriate and to ensure rigorous application. Participants say they find training together in a small group the most useful as not only do you get the direction and advice from the tutor but learning from fellow participants is a real bonus.

Do take advantage of the Autumn series! Click the links above or check out our events page for applications for places, asap!

Tell us how you get on and let us know topics for other courses which you would like – we want to offer what you find most relevant!
