Scotland

We provide opportunities for discussion, learning and networking with colleagues working in evaluation across Scotland and North East England

Evaluation Network Scotland (ENS)

ENS includes evaluators, commissioners, users of evaluation and anyone with an interest in evaluation from a range of sectors including the NHS, local government, Scottish Government, academia, international development, charity and voluntary organisations, skills sector and enterprise, and independent funders.

We meet three to four times a year, mostly in Edinburgh and Glasgow. All are welcome. You do not need to be a UK Evaluation Society member and events are usually free to attend.

You can find out more about our events on the UK Evaluation Society website, through our ENS LinkedIn group and via our mailing list. We also share details about local tenders and training and use LinkedIn to connect with each other, to promote debate about evaluation and to share useful resources.

For more information or to join the ENS mailing list, contact the network convenor Christiane Kerlen: christiane.kerlen@kerlen-evaluation.de

Glasgow Evaluation Group (GEG)

The Glasgow Evaluation Group is a local expression of ENS, formed in 2016. We meet for a lunchtime seminar every two months or so. Our meetings provide an informal opportunity to share our work, experience and learning with fellow evaluators based in Glasgow. All are welcome.

The Evaluation and Research team at Skills Development Scotland (SDS) manage this subgroup of the Evaluation Network Scotland which is affiliated to the UK Evaluation Society. SDS undertakes all aspects of managing and coordinating the events, arranging speakers to present on up-to-date and current topics. SDS also helps facilitate and disseminate the event as well as sharing good practice amongst members.

The sessions are free, however, we ask that anyone planning to attend contacts Pooja Marwaha – pooja.marwaha@sds.co.uk

We are always looking for interesting topics so if you have a suggestion – and to join the mailing list – please get in touch with Pooja.
