Results of Council Elections 2020

We can confirm the appointment of Dr Peter Welsh and Dr Alison Girdwood as incoming members of the UK Evaluation Society Directors’ group for 2021-22. Peter has been a member of Council since 2018 and Alison was previously a member of Council between 2016 and 2017. Peter will be taking on the position of Vice-President covering membership, communications and digital (Bridget Dillon will also continue as one of two VPs for the Society, covering events and professional development) and Alison will be fulfilling the role of Treasurer. We are very pleased to welcome Peter and Alison who bring diverse career backgrounds and considerable evaluation experience to share with the Society.

We are also very grateful to Professor Murray Saunders who has kindly agreed to extend his co-opted role on the Council Directors’ group bringing valuable perspectives and experience as a Past President.

We received four applications from members of the Society for 2021-22 Council terms and we are delighted to announce that Hala Elsayed, Tarran Macmillan, Dr Jessica Ozan and Matthew Terry were all successful. We are very pleased to welcome back Tarran, Jessica and Matthew who continue on from their 2019-20 terms, and we extend a warm welcome to Hala.

The Society is extremely grateful to all members of Council who are standing down at the end of 2020, although many will be continuing active roles in our thematic working groups. Many thanks to Julian Barr, Natalia Chivite-Matthews, David Drabble, Dr Emma Gibbard, Dr Steve Powell, Professor Helen Simons and Dr Tracey Wond for all that you have contributed to the Society in recent years.
