Executive Director Appointment

Executive Director
UK Evaluation Society

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Meera Craston as the first ever Executive Director of the UK Evaluation Society.

Meera has worked in a senior capacity at a number of organisations, which most recently included a Senior Director role at Ipsos UK, where she co-led their Policy & Evaluation Unit. These roles and the subsequent building of her independent advisory practice have enabled her to gain a wealth of experience in evaluation, leadership and team & community building, and to develop a keen interest in growing businesses with a strong values base.  She has been an active member of U.K. Evaluation Society Council for the past three years and was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees at New Philanthropy Capital (NPC) and to the Grants and Evaluation Committee at the Youth Endowment Fund.

Bridget Dillon, President of The Society adds,

‘I am thrilled to be working with Meera in this new role.  She brings leadership, energy, vision and commitment at a key moment as the Society steps up in 2023 to build its membership, programme, and profile.  Meera is well placed to help revalue the place of evaluation and evaluative practice as we push for its greater use and impact across both public and private endeavour.’

On her appointment, Meera said,

‘Having had the privilege of sitting on the UK Evaluation Society Council for the past three years, I am really excited to take up this new role. It presents a fantastic opportunity to work alongside Bridget and the Council to steward and drive a new chapter for the organisation, and to build on the strong foundations that have been laid since the Society’s inception.’

Meera starts today in this part time role, for the next 12 months.
