Tool Share – Storytelling for insights: using Folktale to monitor, measure and communicate impact from local voices

In each Tool Share, a Member introduces an innovative tool (or tools!) they’ve used or developed, what it does, how it works and how it’s been used in practice.

Join Folktale founder Sarah Mak to find out more about a new tool to take into your MEL work, building partnerships, explore key factors when adopting new digital tools, and hear local partner perspectives that puts reporting back into the hands of participants/communities.  This will consist of an interactive presentation, followed by the opportunity to ask questions.

Our toolshare host, Sarah Mak, is a social entrepreneur, managing a portfolio of profit-for-purpose companies that intersect creativity, innovation and social impact.  She works with private-sector enterprises, governments and think-tanks to drive strategic change through uncovering insights from real stories.  Sarah comes from an early career in Public Health and Global Development, working at the WHO as well as in country assignments in the South Pacific and Asia Pacific.  This scientific background influences the intersection of data and storytelling.

Folktale is an insights platform that uses the power of crowd-sourced video to connect understanding and action through story.
