Council Elections 2024 – get involved in your UK Evaluation Society!
Nominations are open for members of the UK Evaluation Society Council for three-year terms between 2024 and 2026.
We have one (1) Secretary role and two (2) additional Council member (or Trustee) positions available. See below for information packs and forms.
All nominations must be received by 11pm on 17th March 2024.
Currently the Council provides an opportunity for a representative range of Society members to inform, shape, and help deliver the Society’s activities. It is an exciting time for the Society, with a busy programme of events and training, active national networks, and the continuing development of our professional development resources. The Council is now supported by a staff team and this will enable it to focus on the important strategic issues in evaluation as well as the Society itself. The Society is in transition to become a company with charitable status. When the transition is complete (estimated spring 2024), the Council will become a Board of Trustees and will therefore be legally responsible for the governance of the Society.
We are actively trying to improve our work on equity, diversity and inclusion. This includes, although is not limited to, trying to increase the diversity of our members and our council members/ trustees. We see diversity as a strength and strongly encourage applications from those with a wide range of experience and backgrounds. These include people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, disabled people and LGBTQI+ people.
Whatever your background and at whatever stage of your career you are, we really want to hear from you and we welcome informal chats in advance of making an application. Or if you know someone that you think would make a positive impact in a leadership role – tell them you are happy to nominate them!
A total of three (3) positions are available – the Secretary is automatically a Council member/Trustee but if you are happy to be considered for either the Secretary or a Council member/Trustee, please make that clear on your Secretary application.
